History
Karl Borromäus Murr is a German historian, philosopher, and museologist. Since 2009, he has been Director of the State Textile and Industry Museum in Augsburg (tim).
Since 2012, he has been a member of the Pool of Experts of the European Museum Academy. He joined its Board in 2015 and has served as its Chair since 2019. Murr teaches European Ethnology/Folklore at the University of Augsburg. Since 2026, he has been an Honorary Professor at the Akademie für Mode und Design (Academy of Fashion and Design) at Hochschule Fresenius.
From 2021 to 2023 he was a member of the CAS Research Focus "Materiality – Museology – Knowledge".
